Boise State University At Graduation Survey

The Career Center administers an At-Graduation Placement Survey each Fall and Spring semester. Our most successful method of collecting data is via Capstone Courses. We also collected responses on-line. Currently, the response rate for these surveys is averaging 54%. Additional data including names of organizations employing students in career employment and internship positions and position titles is included in these specific reports.

Highlights from the survey include:
Excellent collaboration with all colleges in administering the survey in their capstone courses.
A 90% response rate from our College of Engineering graduates.
28% of respondents participated in undergraduate or graduate research while at Boise State.
44% of respondents say their degree helped them obtain new employment or advance within the organization where they are currently working.
68% of COEN respondents and 63% of Health Sciences respondents say their degree helped them obtain new employment or advance within the organization where they are currently working.
21% of respondents will be going on to graduate or professional school within a year of graduating from Boise State.
75% of respondents will stay and work in the Treasure Valley. The percentage of students taking jobs in the western United States doubled from the Spring of 07 to the Spring of 08.
40% of respondents will earn $40,000 or more in their first year out of college.
33% of respondents participated in an Internship while at Boise State
53% of SSPA and 46% of COEN respondents participated in internships.
42% of respondents who participated in an Internship were offered career employment as a result of their internship.
An additional 35% of respondents were offered career employment as a result of their field experience (not considered an Internship) while at Boise State.
